Marketplace to serve as one-stop-shop for E&I member institutions to source PPE
September 2, 2020 – E&I Cooperative Services (E&I) has launched its online PPE Marketplace. This one-stop-shop allows E&I member institutions in higher ed and K-12 to pre-order a variety of PPE products, including masks, gloves, gowns, face shields, hand wipes, sanitizer, and more. The PPE Marketplace also includes critical services such as COVID-19 testing and contact tracing.
“Our members face an ongoing challenge when it comes to procuring adequate PPE for students and staff,” said Eric Frank, CEO of E&I. “We’ve assembled a group of large and small suppliers that collectively can bring an extraordinary amount of PPE to market. Having them all in one place, and doing the legwork to connect pre-orders with existing inventory, makes it infinitely easier for our members to source these hard-to-find items.”
Upon visiting the Marketplace, users can submit specific PPE product requests. E&I will handle the process involved in identifying existing inventory and real-time pricing from amongst its portfolio of competitively solicited, adopted, and negotiated contracts to fulfill the order, and will work with the member to facilitate a purchase order. The PPE Marketplace is part of E&I’s larger effort to help its members procure COVID-19-related goods and services under competitive contracts, including sanitizing and ventilation solutions, online teaching and learning tools, spacing solutions for social distancing, and more.
