CARES Act & Higher Education Emergency Relief Fund

The Higher Education Emergency Relief Fund II (HEERF II), authorized by the Coronavirus Response & Relief Supplement Appropriations Act, authorizes $81.88 billion in support for education. This fund, signed into law on December 27, 2020, is in addition to the $30.75 billion provided in the Spring of 2020 through the Coronavirus Aid, Recovery & Economic Security (CARES) Act.
