Supplier Diversity

E&I is committed to developing a world class Supplier Diversity program which reflects the diversity commitments of our members and the multicultural communities in which they serve. We recognize the importance of diverse suppliers and are committed to ensuring that diversity is an integral part of our sourcing and procurement processes.

Our competitive solicitation process is designed to provide “best value” contracts for members. We’ve added processes to maximize subcontracting opportunities with certified diverse businesses by including a minimum of one diverse supplier in all new sourcing events (when applicable).

Diverse Supplier Solutions

E&I develops solutions that exceed the growing demands of our members whose goal is to increase the amount of goods and services sourced from certified diverse businesses. In an effort to address the regional focus of our members, we are constantly expanding the number of direct (Tier 1) supplier relationships with certified diverse businesses across the country.

If your institution is looking for Tier 1 diverse suppliers, we have certified diverse suppliers who are able to engage in subcontracts directly with members. Please review this list of Tier 1 Diverse Suppliers for additional information.

E&I also has relationships with suppliers who are able to offer diverse spending solutions as a part of their product and/or service offering. For more information, browse the E&I Business Partners with Supplier Diversity Solutions.

How to Become a Supplier

Our diverse suppliers play an integral role in developing new and innovative ways to meet the increasing demands of our members. Our ongoing commitment is to maximize diverse supplier participation through the development of mutually beneficial business relationships to strengthen the diverse communities in which we operate.

Are you a diverse supplier? To register, please submit a one-page overview of your capabilities along with a maximum of three diverse supplier certifications to Titus MartinExecutive Director, Supplier Diversity.

Completing the above registration process is not an automatic approval, nor does it guarantee future business from E&I. However, submitting your information through this registration process does provide your company with greater visibility for consideration in upcoming subcontracting and/or contracting opportunities with E&I.
