ESSER/CARES Act/HEERF

The Higher Education Emergency Relief Fund II (HEERF II), authorized by the Coronavirus Response & Relief Supplement Appropriations Act, authorizes $81.88 billion in support for education. This fund is in addition to the $30.75 billion provided in the Spring of 2020 through the Coronavirus Aid, Recovery & Economic Security (CARES) Act. Most recently, the Elementary and Secondary School Emergency Relief (ESSER) Fund, signed into law on March 20, 2021, addresses the impact COVID-19 has had and continues to have on elementary and secondary schools across the U.S.

Many E&I contracted suppliers offer products and services that are eligible for use under these relief monies. Please contact your E&I Member Representative or the contracted supplier for more information and assistance in using your federal funding.
