The Member is responsible for inspecting their merchandise when it is delivered. If there is excessive damage or the shipment is incorrect, the member should refuse the shipment, locate their order number and call customer service at 1-866-619-1776. Occasionally, delivery drivers do not allow enough time for the member to inspect the shipment, or the order is delivered while the member is not there. If the driver does not allow the member time to inspect their shipment, sign for it, noting “damaged” on the bill of lading. It is the member’s responsibility to fully inspect their merchandise within five business days of receipt. If they have a problem with damage or an incorrect shipment, they must contact School Outfitters during this period. They cannot be held responsible for damages or incorrect shipments if they wait beyond this period to inform us. As long as they contact them during this period, any item that is damaged when it arrives or that does not arrive as ordered (size, color, or features were not as you specified) will be promptly replaced by School Outfitters at no additional cost to you.
School Outfitters has a Customer Relations teams that is fully equipped to handle any claims that may come in. Within their internal system, they have a history of each customer’s quote, order, and full communication between them and the customer. When a customer calls or emails about a claim, the Customer Relations team can easily look up what was ordered and how to make it right. The Customer Service team is trained to attend to any claims or issues within 24 hours.
At School Outfitters, they are trusted in the area of service and providing quality products. Their warranties range from 1 year to a limited lifetime on many of our products and cover things like repairs, replacements, or refunds if the product does not function as intended.
School Outfitters provide Installation Services. They work with several national installation partners and have installers located in all 50 states ready to service their customers. All of their partners have the skill and training necessary to assemble our full line of furniture. All national partners and regional partners have warehouse capacity and regularly receive, visually inspect, store, consolidate and deliver to room of choice. With them they deliver on services from simple delivery consolidation to full turn key solutions.
FOB Destination, Full Freight Allowed
Smaller, lighter items usually ship via UPS. Items that are large, bulky, or extremely heavy typically arrive by freight delivery and are carried on a semi-trailer truck. These are most commonly shipped on School Outfitters shipping accounts but they are able to ship on customer accounts as needed.
