Submit the Tobin Alignment Authorization form. Once the AAF is submitted, Tobin will create/link member accounts in their system within 4 to 7 business days. Contact your E&I Representative at any time for assistance.

With respect to claims for the loss, damage or delay of Property during transportation, Tobin’s liability will be determined in accordance with the provisions of 49 U.S.C. §14706 as limited by the terms of Tobin’s bill of lading and the Master Agreement. Such transportation claims must be filed in writing by the client and received by Tobin within nine (9) months from date of delivery, or scheduled date of delivery for lost lading, or in the absence of a scheduled delivery date, the filing period shall begin after a reasonable time has elapsed for delivery; and a civil suit for transportation loss, damage or delay must be commenced by the client within two (2) years and one day from the date Tobin gives client written notice that Tobin is disallowing the claim or any part of it. Transportation loss, damage or delay claims will be governed by and filed and resolved in accordance with federal regulations codified at 49 C.F.R. Part 370. The measure of damages for loss, damage or delay claims on any shipment of Property in transit shall be the invoice value of the shipment, its wholesale destination value, the limitation prescribed by Tobin’s bill of lading or $100,000, whichever is less, unless client declared a higher valuation and agreed to pay Tobin for additional valuation charges.
Prior to the start of a move, client will be asked to complete the Declaration of Value section of the Commercial Bill of Lading.
