Pittsburgh Paints combines an extensive selection of coatings and painting supplies with training, maintenance resources, color matching capabilities, and local support to help facilities teams keep projects moving forward.
The Pittsburgh Paints Company manufactures and supplies paints, stains, architectural finishes, performance coatings, specialty coatings, painting equipment, and related supplies. The agreement includes access to more than 35,500 products, along with painting sundries such as brushes, rollers, abrasives, caulking products, masking products, safety equipment, cleaning materials, spray equipment, wallcovering adhesives, and other professional painting tools. Members also have access to product application training, color matching support, specification assistance, project visibility, and customized reporting resources.
The Pittsburgh Paints company is committed to making environmentally progressive products. One of the first pioneers in the paint industry to develop new performance standards, many PPG paints have zero- or low- volatile organic compound (VOC) contents, helping E&I members build green.
The E&I Economic Benefit Model™ (EBM) is a powerful tool that your institution can use to measure and communicate the overall value of its procurement activities. This benefit is derived from three key areas:
Using the EBM, each of E&I’s more than 260 competitively solicited contracts have been scored with a Total Economic Benefit™ (TEB) to member institutions.

Submit the Pittsburgh Paints Alignment Authorization form. Once the AAF is submitted, Pittsburgh Paints will enroll the Member in its E&I program within 4 to 7 business days. Contact your E&I Representative at any time for assistance.

Pittsburgh Paints accepts returns and provides credits for products that are defective, non-conforming, shipped in error, incorrectly ordered, duplicated in shipment, or received too late to be used for the intended purpose. When a return qualifies under these conditions, credits may be issued and claims against the member are waived.
No restocking fee may be charged when products are damaged, shipped incorrectly, returned within 24 hours of delivery, or exchanged for other inventory. For other eligible returns, restocking fees cannot exceed 10% of the value of the returned items.
Members should report damaged, defective, incorrect, or delayed shipments to their Pittsburgh Paints representative as soon as possible. Pittsburgh Paints will work with members to resolve product and delivery issues through repair, replacement, return, credit, or other corrective actions as outlined in the contract.
Pittsburgh Paints warrants that products supplied under the agreement will be new, genuine, and free from material defects, and that products will conform to applicable specifications and manufacturer requirements. At a minimum, products are covered by a three-year warranty that includes parts, labor, and travel, while third-party products are covered by the manufacturer’s standard warranty. Members also have the option to purchase a one-year warranty extension, and any lifetime warranties remain in effect according to their terms.
If a product is found to be defective or non-conforming, Pittsburgh Paints will repair, replace, or correct the product at its expense. For applicable equipment purchases, like-for-like loaner equipment may be provided during warranty repairs, helping minimize operational disruptions.
Members benefit from free delivery with no minimum order requirements. Products can be delivered to campus receiving locations, buildings, departments, or multiple campus sites, with delivery schedules tailored to institutional needs. Orders are shipped F.O.B. Destination, Full Freight Allowed, with freight paid by Pittsburgh Paints.
